Japanese Embassy in Kuwait celebrates National Day, Emperor’s birthday.
Japanese Ambassador to Kuwait Morino Yasunari held a reception to commemorate the birthday of the Emperor of Japan and the country’s National Day. Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs and Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Affairs Ammar Al-Ajmi was the guest of honor.
Diplomatic ties Morino expressed condolences on lives lost in the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. He also hailed historical relations between Kuwait and Japan, citing years of diplomatic ties built on friendship, trust and respect, highlighting the growth of bilateral ties at all levels and in a wide range of areas. He pointed out both Japan and Kuwait support international peace and prosperity. “Japan and Kuwait enjoy strong, long-standing friendship.
This year marks the 62nd anniversary of diplomatic relations. Japan sincerely appreciates the generous support Kuwait extended to Japan after the major earthquake in 2011,” Morino said. “I would like to work to renew the partnership between Japan and Kuwait in different areas beyond oil, including people-to-people exchanges,” he added. Members of the diplomatic corps, Japanese nationals and media personnel attended the event organized at Regency Hotel on Wednesday, Feb 15 2023. Attendees enjoyed Japanese delicacies including sushi and matcha tea.
