Kuwait earns 8.2 mln dinars from air travelers by end of 2021/2022.

Revenues from fees increase by 50%

Kuwait earned 8.2 million dinars by the end of 2021/2022 in revenues from fees from air passengers, an increase of 50% or to 2.7 million dinars, compared to 5.48 million dinars in the previous fiscal year, reports Al-Anba daily. The revenues from airport departures was about 3.62 million dinars during the last fiscal year, up from 2.08 million dinars during the year 2020/2021, while last year’s revenues accounted for only 33% estimated to be collected for the full year at 11 million dinars, a decline of 7.37 million dinars.

Transit fees
Revenues from Kuwaiti airspace transit fees on aircraft recorded 4.59 million dinars during the past fiscal year, compared to 3.4 million for 2020/2021, while the percentage of revenues collected for this aspect amounted to about 63.5% of the total revenues estimated at 7.23 million dinars.
