Deputy Director-General of the Friday Market (Souk Jumah) Waleed Al-Kandari said the market is expected to open to the public end of this week, precisely on Thursday, Sept 10, and that the timings will be from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Al-Kandari told the daily the market management has made all the necessary arrangement to ensure visitors to the market and the salesmen adhere to the health instructions which have been put in place by the concerned government authorities. He said the management has installed CCTV cameras at all entrances to regulate the number of visitors and steps have been taken to check the visitors to ensure they are free of the virus.
This will be done in coordination with the Farwaniya security authorities. The sources also said the Kuwait Municipality has stressed on the importance of adhering to the health instructions such as using face masks social distancing.
