6,848 stranded passengers arrive back to Kuwait.

The spokesperson for the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation Saad Al-Otaibi announced that since the resumption of commercial flights to and from the Kuwait International Airport (KIA) from August 1 until date reached 17,823 passengers, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Al-Otaibi disclosed 10,975 passengers left the country, while he put the number of arriving passengers at 6,848. He indicated a total of 128 flights took off from the KIA, and the number of incoming flights was 131.

Al-Otaibi added, the list of flights that are permitted to land at the airport will be reviewed. This is being done every 10 days thorough and careful study by the Kuwaiti health authorities, according to which countries will be added and others will be cancelled based on the extent of the spread of the new coronavirus (Covid-19).
