701 people died due to external factors in Kuwait

Official statistics revealed that 701 people died due to external factors in 2022; including 234 Kuwaitis – 183 males and 51 females, in addition to 467 expatriates – 377 males and 90 females, reports Al-Anba daily. Road accidents topped the list at 47.7 percent of the total deaths – 335 including 144 citizens and 191 expatriates.

Suicide accounted for 11 percent or 77 cases – three citizens and 74 expatriates; followed by death due to fall accidents with 59 – seven citizens and 52 expatriates; drowning with 25 – 15 citizens and 10 expatriates; exposure to smoke, fire and flames with 20 – four citizens and 16 expatriates; poisoning and exposure to harmful substances with seven – two citizens and five expatriates; and assault with 24 – six citizens and 18 expatriates.
