Acting Director-General of the Public Authority of Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources, Mishal Al-Quraifah, on Tuesday discussed with Italian Ambassador Carlo Baldocci, promoting collaboration and boosting food security via enhancing agricultural climate and improving production. Al-Quraifah, in a press statement, said that the meeting handled several axes corresponding to Kuwaiti vision of preserving and reinforcing food security as Italy is a nation with vast expertise in agricultural developments.
He further added that the Italian ambassador presented latest technical updates relating to development of more productive seeds, establishing advanced infrastructure, solar pumping plants, and irrigation systems as well as importing agricultural machines. Ambassador Baldocci, according to the statement, called for bolstering cooperation via the exchange of expertise and visits between the two nations, and commended the bilateral relations tying them together.
