End of suspension on hiring Kuwaiti teachers.

The Ministry of Education has resumed procedures for hiring Kuwaiti teachers after a temporary suspension since last December, reports Al-Anba daily quoting informed educational sources.

They explained that the educational zones have started receiving new recruits nominated by the Civil Service Commission (CSC). Work is underway to complete their medical procedures so that they can report to duty during the second semester, which starts on Sunday, February 5.

Through this step, the Ministry of Education is racing against time to fill the shortage in educational bodies.

The appointment of Kuwaiti teachers was suspended due to the first semester exams in all educational zones last December, in addition to the closing of schools during the period of the spring vacation.

The Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hamad Al-Adwani received a letter from the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), stating that five services provided by the Ministry of Education to its clients has been stopped, due to their presence on the “Sahel” application, which has achieved great success in serving the public.

These services are – results of the high school exams, number of seats for the twelfth-graders, inquiries about the absence of students, medical referral form, and the results of transfer classes.
