Relieving pressure of Expats in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Mahboula and gradually opening them

The relevant government agencies have put forward a plan to relieve pressure on the expats staying in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area and gradually open the two areas after completing the implementation of the health authorities instructions and directives.

Security sources said that some of the expats of Jleeb area were relieved, especially those with emergency cases or those with medical appointments in hospitals and other humanitarian cases, and they were given exit permits on the condition they return back after completing the task.

The sources stated that the situation inside Jleeb is reassuring in terms of providing food and gas, but government reports issued by some bodies, such as the Ministry of Interior and the Public Authority for Manpower, show that many expats suffer due to the non-payment of their salaries, specially daily labor jobs which necessitates providing them with food baskets continuously in coordination with the Ministry of Affairs and Charities.

Regarding the proposed plan, the sources mentioned that work is currently underway to equip field hospitals and quarantine facilities in or near the two isolated areas, starting with the process of epidemiological investigation through Ministry of Health teams, and transfer the injured or suspected directly to it in coordination with the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard and Civil Defense.

The sources pointed out that it is possible to request expats in the regions after preparing field hospitals and quarantine facilities to carry out mandatory smear test for them by dividing certain days for each residential area.

Sources stated that this step is still proposed and awaiting a decision by the health authorities in coordination with the relevant security authorities, and the same procedures will be applied in the Mahboula region after the completion of the field hospitals and quarantine facilities in it.

Regarding the situation of the Mahboula area and its residents, the sources stated that the security situation is under control, and some residents who are residence violators were relieved by transferring them out of the area, connecting them to schools designated for that, and accommodating them in other equipped quarantine facilities.

Food, gas were distributed to the entire region to benefit from them, complaints from expats are monitored and resolved immediately through a joint operating room.
