Kuwait condemns burning Holy Quran in The Hague.

‘Act risks fueling Muslim anger worldwide’

Kuwait has strongly condemned and denounced the tearing and burning of a copy of the Holy Quran by an extremist in The Hague, according to a statement by Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al- Jaber Al-Sabah. “This is new provocative act that came only one day after a similar shameful act in Sweden,” the minister regretted, warning that such acts risk fueling Muslim anger worldwide.

The minister urged all nations and international organizations to double their efforts and shoulder their responsibilities in stopping such unacceptable, deliberate and repeated offenses. He also urged others to do all in their power to promote the values of dialogue and tolerance and to counter hatred and extremism instead of carrying out actions that instigate violence.
