A day after the agriculture reform bills got President Ram Nath Kovind’s assent to be drafted into laws, farmer protests further intensified throughout the country. Various farmers’ organizations called for a state bandh in Karnataka while on the other hand Punjab Youth Congress Workers set a tractor on fire while protesting at India Gate. In Punjab, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh went on a sit-in against the bills on September 28.
