Obstetrics, gynecology and fertility medicine consultant and head of the Fertility Medicine Unit at Jahra Hospital Dr Hazem Al-Rumaih expects Kuwait to begin vaccinating pregnant and lactating women against COVID-19 soon, reports Al- Jarida daily. He confirmed that a number of countries around the world have already started vaccinating pregnant and breast-feeding women as recent research and studies proved the safety of corona vaccines for these women. He said the vaccines do not affect the fertility of men and women, clarifying there is no need to wait for three months after vaccination to get pregnant. He added pregnancy is a risk factor for infection with coronavirus, urging pregnant and lactating women to register on the vaccination platform.
