3 sites in pilgrims’ city to house expat workers.

The Kuwait Municipality agreed to the request of Kuwait Sports Authority request to allocate a site for the Kuwaiti Shooting Sports Club in the southern region of the Ahmadi Governorate on an area of not less than 500,000 square meters, provided it is close to the sports facilities, in order to serve the people of the southern region and to provide opportunity for young men and women to practice archery and develop their capabilities.

On the other hand, the Municipality said it has been agreed to allocate 3 sites in the city of pilgrims, in the Al- Jahra Governorate, to establish housing complexes for expatriate workers over an area of 150,000 square meters, in addition to the previous approvals of 8 complexes, 5 of them in the Governorate Al-Ahmadi and 3 in Farwaniya Governorate, bringing the total number of sites allocated for labor housing complexes to 11 housing in three governorates.

In this regard, Director-General of the Kuwait Municipality, Eng Ahmad Al- Manfouhi sent a letter to the Chairman of the Municipal Council, Osama Al-Otaibi, describing the three sites are subject to special standards in cities and labor complexes in terms of heights of floors, to consist of four floors for residential buildings and two floors for buildings for services and commercial uses.
