On 6th October 2020, Ashfaque A Khan, the President of Indian Cultural Society and his Team hold high prestige in meeting the Ambassador of India in Kuwait. It was a meeting filled with gratitude and a conversation worth its weight in gold.
The Team was dazzled by the kind gesture expressed by His Excellency Mr. Sibi George. Indian Cultural Society had a treasurable dialog showcasing their success and contribution towards the spreading of Indian Art and Culture in Kuwait. The eminent personality of His Excellency took great interest in such events as well and himself had conducted the remarkable “Connecting Himalayas with Alps: India-Switzerland Partnership” where the Matterhorn Mountain was lit in the Tricolor. The room had a colossal range of ideas and suggestions regarding the increase of our rich and brilliant culture of India including social & welfare work of ICS.
Indian Cultural Society is a non-profitable, non-political & non-commercial wing of professionals who devote their services for social & welfare work in sheer passion & voluntary intentions. ICS is a symbol for quality & class entertainment in Kuwait. The organization shared a couple of souvenirs of their mega events along with the new booklet of ICS with the Ambassador.
Team ICS was beholden by the kind gesture of the Ambassador for his response and spending his valuable time with the ICS Team. ICS executives presented a Welcome memento & Bouquet, congratulating the Ambassador for commission his new assignment in Kuwait.
ICS Honorable Secretary -Rajesh Sawhney thanked the Ambassador for giving the Team a delightful afternoon rich in conversation. The Executives who shared their thoughts in this meeting are Abizar Badshah, Ms Shagufta Khan, Sharaff Chaiewala, Anwar Raja & Dr Narendra Dheer.
Ambassador Mr. Sibi George joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1993. He became the Ambassador of India to Kuwait on 4th August, 2020. Earlier, he served as the Ambassador of India to Switzerland, The Holy See and Liechtenstein. Hailing from the Kottayam District in the Southern State of Kerala in India, he belongs to the Podimattam family of Pala. He is a Gold Medalist both for his Graduation and Post-Graduation, also holding diploma in Arabic Language from the American University in Cairo.
He is married to Joice John Pampoorethu, who’s an artist by profession. They have two daughters named Elhita Thampuran and Ayilya Thampuran and a son named Jeff VakhanThampuran.
