The Qatar Olympic Committee decided to suspend sporting activities for local competitions to mourn the death of the late His Highness, the late Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The committee stated that the suspension of sports activity for local competitions will start today and will continue for a period of three days.
Earlier today, the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, mourned with great sadness and sorrow, the forgiven God Almighty, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, announcing the mourning in Qatar for a period of three days and flags at half-mast.
