The Government Communication Center announced that the Cabinet decided to postpone the transition to the fifth phase of the return to normalcy plan until further notice.
In the fifth phase, theaters and cinemas would be allowed to reopen, and all social events would be permitted to be held. The criteria followed for moving from one stage to another under the return to normalcy plan are based on the rate of transmission and number of coronavirus cases, in addition to the stability of infection numbers for a sufficient period of time, the percentage people in intensive care, the percentage of patients in hospitals, and the low percentage of infected people from daily swabs.
