India got Independence on 15th August; this day is celebrated in India as a national festival dotted with cultural programme, competitions, flag-hoisting ceremonies, and parades.
The day holds great significance in the heart of every Indian citizen living in India and abroad. As India ceased to be a colonial nation and secured full autonomy from the British that ruled over it for around 200 years.
To mark this day UP NRI FORUM Kuwait invited all virtually on ZOOM to celebrate this event on 30th August 2020, thus adhering to social distancing because of the pandemic. The children of the forum enthusiastically participated in the event. This event infused the feeling of patriotism among the fraternity.

The coming of all the cures.
They ask us who we want to be, what we will do.
We only know that tomorrow is what we pursue.”
Children, in the present era, are a powerful asset of the nation possessing the abundant energy and the zeal considered necessary for the overall advancement of the same. They are the future of every nation; keeping this in view the event was dedicated to the young minds of the FORUM. All the participants performed from their houses. The program was entertaining and informative. The brilliance exhibited by the children of the forum is exceptionally praiseworthy.
The programme was highly appreciated by all the viewers who watched it on more than 70 connections on ZOOM and more than 170 joined on Live Telecast at YouTube not only in Kuwait but all over the world.
Mr. Mohammad Khaleel Khan, President UP NRI FORUM Kuwait addressed the audience and welcomed the chief guest Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Sarfaraz -Managing Director, Sahara Group and dignitary Dr. Surendra Nayak, President of Indian Doctors Forum, Kuwait. Both of them illuminated the gathering by their presence.
The program started with stupendous welcome note of Ms. Jaya Singh, subsequentlyhosted by very young and talented duo Ms. SarahMohammad Maseeh & Ms. Faatima Rahil.
Following the tradition of the forum the program commenced with the recitation of Quranic Surah by Little Enayah Shafaq followed by Kuwait National Anthem.
Indian National Anthem was beautifully sung by Adan Zeeshan, Ahmad Zeeshan, and Fatima Zeeshan, while the music was orchestrated by very talented Abdullah Zeeshan.
A total of 23 children participated in the event from their houses. On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, witnessing the patriotism among little champs intensified the emotions of the audience. A variety of programs, ranging from speeches to poetry, singing, dance and marvelous skit on patriotism was performed.
Mohammad Ruhab spoke on the Independence Day, Sufyan Qaseem delivered a message for mankind, Shahla Shakeel and Salwa Shakeel sung patriotic songs, Eiresh Kuntal recited a poem to honor our Tricolor – “O tricolor you are my pride”, Atharv Singhplayed instrumantal music on Piano from the memorable Hindi Movie DDLJ, Faatima Rahil presented poetry in Lucknowi style, Mohammad Saad efficiently described Indian Flag, Jaya Singh presented a wonderful dance performance, Samiya Maseeh recited a poem , Muzna Khaleel Khan delivered a splendid speech, Yash Verdhan Kuntal threw light on the Indian culture effectively, brothers duo Mohammad Rashid & Mohammad Danish sung a patriotic song -Yeh Hindustan Hamara.
A very colorful skit on the theme of unity and integrity was performed by the little champs of the forum Enayah Shafaq, Faatima Rahil, Hira Zaidi, Mohammad Ruhab and Zunaira Fatima Khan.
To conclude the event the guest of honor,Senior Scientist Dr. Mirza Umair Beg addressed the gathering with inspirational word, which motivated, not only the children but all the spectators.
Last but not the least, Mr. Noorul Hassan , General Secretary of the UPNRI FORUM Kuwait gave vote of thanks. The programwas conducted efficiently by UPNRI FORUM menbers Ms. Shazia Mansoor and Mr. Shafaq Mumtaz.
This year the program was virtually held on ZOOM with the hope that in the years to come we will celebrate it will vigor and zeal but not virtually.0
