Kuwait ranks 6th worldwide in 5G speeds, 2nd in Arab states.

Saudi Arabia tops list globally.

A report issued by the British company, Open Signal, which specializes in analyzing customer experience of mobile networks, revealed that Kuwait ranked sixth in the world and second in the Gulf and Arab countries in terms of speeds and coverage of the fifth generation (5G) among the world leaders in this aspect, with a download speed of 171.5 MB per second, reports Al-Anba .

The report said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia topped the list globally, and according to the report, which has received wide attention, the average download of the fifth generation in Saudi Arabia exceeds 414.2 megabytes per second, which is a speed that exceeds the second placed (South Korea) by 32%.

Moreover, the Kingdom leads in general speeds (fourth and fifth generation) with an average download speed of 144.5 MB/s, a speed that surpasses the second placed (Canada) by 60% in determining the average speeds of connection to the Internet via the 5G network in all countries of the world.

The report stated that the countries that have the fastest download speeds in the world were classified, as the company adopts a measure to understand the total mobile experience of the users of the 5G network, by measuring the average download speeds on the fifth and fourth generation networks in addition to the time it takes to connect to each technology, which includes the overall experience 5G users across 12 of the world’s leading markets that launched the technology.

The following is a list of the world’s highest download speeds for the 5G network – Saudi Arabia with 414.2 megabytes per second; followed by South Korea 312.7 MB/s in second place, Australia comes in third place with 215.7; followed respectively by Taiwan, 210.5 MB/s; Canada with 178.1 MB/s; Kuwait with 171.5 MB/s; Switzerland with 150.7 MB/s. In eighth place is Hong Kong with 142.8 MB/s, ninth is the United Kingdom with 133.5 MB/s and finally in 10th place is Germany with 102 megabytes per second.

It should be noted that the report of the “Open Signal” company covers 3 aspects – the speed of the fifth generation (5G), the general speeds of the fourth and fifth generation technologies, in addition to the coverage of the fifth generation. Saudi Arabia also topped the general speeds (fourth and fifth generation) with an average download speed of 144.5 MB/s, which is a speed higher than second placed (Canada) by 60% in determining the average speeds of connection to the Internet through the fifth generation network in all countries of the world. Kuwait ranked tenth, with an average download speed of 44.5 megabytes per second.
