The General Traffic Department, rejected hundreds of transactions submitted by citizens and expats to obtain a car registration card as an insurance company was booked for violations after the Ministry of Trade informed the Ministry of Interior that a block was placed on it as a result of these violations.
The insurance company insures vehicles for 12 dinars per year through social media and delivers insurance papers to homes of those wishing to renew the vehicles.
The citizens and expats were forced to choose another insurance company other than the one with which they completed the transaction in order to obtain a car registration card.
According to an informed source, large numbers of citizens and expats although they completed the technical inspection of their vehicles, and when they submitted to extract the renewed car registration card, they were surprised that the company under which they insured it was invalid and was not permissible to conduct transactions.
A security source confirmed that the General Traffic Department had previously warned that there are companies that provide annual vehicle insurance service for small amounts and should not deal with them.
