The Ministry of Information ended services of 23 expatriates working in the news and television sector. This is the first batch who has been laid off, another batch will be laid off on Sunday that includes a large number of expatriate employees.
Informed sources confirmed that the expatriates who will be terminated will not be allowed to transfer their residency to the private sector, but rather they will be given a grace period.
