The Kuwait National Seismic Network at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research recorded an earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale in west of the Islamic Republic of Iran, at 11:03 today (08:03 GMT), at a depth of 10 kilometers and 300 kilometers from the city of Kuwait.
The institute said in a press statement that the earthquake is considered to be of moderate strength and was felt by many residents of the regions in the State of Kuwait. (KUNA)
