Low-profile Eid in Kuwait

This year’s Eid Al-Fitr in Kuwait and the entire Muslim world is not festive as people stayed in their homes and children did not go to places they used to visit on the same day in previous years, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

All entertainment places are closed — amusement parks, public parks, restaurants and markets…No exchange of visits among families and friends to express greetings on the occasion, because of the precautionary measures in place to curb the spread of corona.

These measures prevented all of the aforementioned activities, while leaving the house has become a crime punishable by law according to the instructions of health and security authorities.

The photo shows entertainment parks, including Hawally Park, closed to visitors; as well as Kuwait Zoo in Omariya, Mubarakiya Market and all other entertainment venues in the country.
