First day of Eid Al-Fitr coincides with Sunday 24 May

Kuwaiti astronomer and historian Adel Al-Saadoun said Thursday that the first days of Eid Al-Fitr this year will coincide with the 24th Sunday of May, according to astronomical calculations.

Al-Saadoun said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the Friday of the 29th of the holy month of Ramadan, corresponding to the 22 of May, will witness the conjunction of the moon with the sun at 21:39 pm.
He explained that on Saturday, May 30, this is the completion of the month of Ramadan, as it will witness the sunset at 42 minutes after sunset.

The moon’s age at conjunction is 21 hours and 27 minutes, its height is 8 degrees above the horizon, its length is about 10 degrees, and the lighting arc is 0.18. Based on these data, a crescent can be seen. The month of Shawwal with difficulty in Kuwait
