Report on Gandhi Jayanthi – ICSK Junior

Gandhi Jayanti on October 2nd is the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who is a pioneer of truth and non-violence. He is known as the Father of our Nation.

The students of ICSK Junior left an inimitable imprint on the occasion of Gandhi, a special assembly conducted on 2nd October 2019. Impressive thoughts enlightened the mind of the audience. There was an outstanding procession that commemorates the freedom fighters. A captivating speech was rendered on the unusual superhero, Mahatma Gandhi. The recited poem on our Father of Nation still remains as an ear worm. The student reporters introduced the freedom fighters and had a confab with them. A breath taking mime was enacted based on the everlasting principles of Gandhiji. A song was an enchanting agent that transmitted the mood of the day. The rhythmic steps of the dancers magnetized the eyes and the hearts of the viewers. The dance drama reflected the present India. They also heralded the role of youth against the evils that dominated the society. 

The principal Mrs. Sherly Dennis addressed the students on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi emphasising the values such as non-violence, truthfulness and simplicity. She encouraged the students to keep the classrooms, school and their environment clean. Vice-Principal Mrs. Sheeja C appreciated the participants and teachers-in-charges for the assembly.
