So, it happened. Despite all the opposition, burning of Virat Kohli’s effigy, media channels boycotting it, the much-awaited India-Pakistan match happened. And, India won by a whopping 124 runs.

This was an important match. The rivals met after a gap of almost 14 months, against the backdrop of political hostility and frosty relations at the government level.

 

While India and Pakistan played the One-Day International (ODI) in England, part of the 2017 Champions Trophy tournament, the fans showed us what rivalry really looks like.

When Pakistani pacer Wahab Riaz sat on the ground after he twisted his foot, Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh immediately walked up to him to help him out. Riaz was later taken to the hospital.
