Firemen have managed to quench the fire that engulfed a petrochemical plant at Rai Area earlier on Wednesday, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) said. The big fire broke out in a 2,000-square meter petrochemicals’ warehouse in Rai area Wednesday morning.
Three firemen were wounded while trying to put the fire under control and over 27 vehicles were damaged, it said in a press statement. Six firefighting teams immediately rushed to control the fire of the 2,000-square meter petrochemical plant, it added.
However, the KFSD admitted that the conflagration caused serious material losses. The fire is under investigations by concerned authorities in order to find the exact causes of the incident.1
