Kuwait hands out 1,000 food baskets to displaced Iraqis

Around 1,000 food baskets were distributed Monday by Kuwait to the internally displaced Iraqis from Mosul and Bardarash in northern Iraq.
The food aid is part of Kuwait’s humanitarian campaign to alleviate the suffering of displaced families from Mosul, including the newly displaced as well, Kuwait’s Consul General in Irbil Dr. Omar Al-Kanderi told KUNA.
It is also part of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s initiative, which stresses the importance of humanitarian action as a “duty that rests on our shoulders,” the Kuwaiti diplomat noted.
Billed as “Kuwait is by your side” campaign, these assistances and aid are to include several aspects of life necessities that will benefit largest number of displaced Iraqis inside the country and the Kurdistan region, he said.
