No rewards for ones not working.

The Director of the Public Relations and Media Department, the official spokeswoman for the Public Authority for Manpower, Aseel Al-Mazyad, identified a set of reasons why the authority decided to stop disbursing graduates’ rewards, and one notable reason is the refusal of the graduate to work – once in the government sector and twice in the private sector, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Al-Mazyad told the daily another reason is the lack of interest to check job opportunities periodically displayed on the PAM site. This is in addition to the graduate opting to choose only what suits him/her. She indicated that the authority disburses the reward in accordance with the conditions stipulated in the decision of the Minister of Education and the Minister of Higher Education, regarding the controls for the disbursement of the social reward for graduates, and the most important of these conditions include submitting a request for disbursing the reward on the authority’s designated website, and not receiving assistance or salary from any government agency of the nature of the reward itself.

Regarding the period of disbursement of the reward to the graduate, she explained that it continues from the date of graduation until the date of taking a job, or one of the reasons for stopping and forfeiting the right to disburse it. She indicated that the Authority received 38,000 transactions during the past year related to graduates of universities and colleges, the Public Authority for Applied Education and institutes of higher education.
