Teacher who resigned keeps getting salaries.

In an incident that may seem strange and unprecedented, a Kuwaiti teacher urged the Ministry of Education to take back the amounts that were paid to him by mistake after his resignation, reports Al-Anba daily. In a press statement, an Islamic Education teacher Ghanem Al-Husseini explained that he had resigned on October 2, 2022 but the Ministry of Education continued to pay him his monthly salary.

He had informed the ministry about this, and asked them to suspend the payment, especially since he received about two thousand and 447 dinars and 50 fils by then. After almost daily notifications for a period of two months, the salary was eventually suspended.

The Public Institution of Social Security made the monthly deduction of KD 138, and the Kuwait Credit Bank also deducted the marriage loan installment for a period of two months. Al-Husseini called on the ministry to respond to him and receive the amount to discharge his responsibility, especially since this is considered as public money and he has no right to dispose of it. He stressed that, if the ministry delays the process of withdrawing the amount, he will have to go to the concerned authorities to hand over the amount.
