“The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today”

Quiz Explora (Inter House Quiz Activity) is an initiative by ICSK Senior. The program aims at enhancing the reading habits and general knowledge of the students. The studies say that the reading habits among students all over the world are declining. This unique program gives the students ample opportunities for all round development. All students of ICSK will be beneficiaries of this program.

The inauguration of the Inter House Quiz Activity was on 10-Oct-2022. The program will now be conducted fortnightly on Thursdays by creating an exclusive hour for quiz. As the program is a house wise activity, it also develops collaborative learning, cooperative learning, team spirit, thinking skills and social skills. The students wore their house uniforms and sat in groups. This was a part of building unity among the members of a house.

As a first step the activity was conducted class wise. The class teachers acted as Quiz Masters. One student from each house was selected to the Class Quiz Committee. The students of CQC acted as Quiz Monitor, Scorer, Time Keeper and Quiz Master Assistant. This will enhance leadership skills in students. The students for CQC will be selected randomly by the class teacher for each session.

The format of the quiz entailed four rounds for each team. The first round was based on General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Questions in the second round was based on Pictures. Questions based on Visual / Audio round was asked in the third round and the final round was a Rapid-Fire Round. The time allotted for the first three rounds was 30 seconds and one minute for rapid-fire round.

The best students will represent their house for an intra school quiz competition, the winners will represent the school for an ICSK inter branch quiz competition and the winners of inter branch will represent ICSK for an inter school quiz competition.

Quiz competitions play an important role in motivating students to perform and excel and offer a lot more reward than just winning prizes. “Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge and knowledge makes us great.”
