Saudi to issue Umrah and visit visas to GCC residents.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia said there is a possibility of issuing Umrah and visit visas to residents from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries for tourism and to perform Umrah, through the “Umrahna” application, reports Annahar daily.

This comes within the framework of the efforts exerted by the Saudi authorities to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims from all countries of the world, enrich their experience, and raise the quality of services provided to them within a variety of solutions and options, in order to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The ministry clarified that GCC residents who obtained a visitor visa for the purpose of tourism, as well as those who obtained visas to enter the Schengen countries, the United States of America, and the United Kingdom, can, before coming to the Kingdom, book appointments to perform Umrah through the “Umrahna” application.

In the same context, the Umrah season for the current Hijri year 1444 AH witnessed several facilities in the procedures for the arrival of pilgrims to perform Umrah and includes several types of visas available to those who obtain them to perform Umrah, including family visit visas, personal visit visas, electronic tourist visas, and tourist visas upon arrival for holders of a Schengen visa and citizens of the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and other types. Umrah pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom can choose the package of services through the “Maqam” platform on the following link: https://maqam.gds.haj. gov.sa/ in addition to booking through local agencies approved by the Kingdom.
