After waiting for more than a year, and in an indication that the solutions will be implemented and the cloud has cleared in front of a large group of residents, the Public Authority for Manpower announced it has issued 36 work permits to non-graduate expatriates who are 60 years and above after paying the fees, through the “Ashal” application, after opening the door on January 24 to issue work permits for this category of residents.
The authority said in a press statement yesterday, that the issuance of these permits was carried out in accordance with the established fees and procedures, referring to Administrative Decision No. “27” of 2021 regarding the issuance of a list of rules and procedures for granting work permits. The issuance of 36 permits ends the ‘dispute’ of government coordination, which led to the delay after PAM refused to renew the permits of those holding health insurance policies from companies not listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange.
