The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infected 719 people in Kuwait during past 24 hours, official spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad announced on Tuesday.
Total cases till date are 100,683 since outbreak of the pandemic in the country months ago. Three infected died in last 24 hours bringing the total to 588.
The infections as recorded in the health zones were as following: 187 in Hawally, 162 in Al-Ahmadi, 151 in Farwaniya, 120 in the capital and 108 in Al-Jahraa.
There are currently 99 patients receiving medical care at intensive care wards, with the overall number of the confirmed infected cases that continue to receive medical care standing at 8,483.
He added that up to 4,651 swab tests were conducted during the past 24 hours, bringing total tests to 715,887.
The MoH declared earlier today that 682 of the coronavirus patients recovered during the past 24 hours, putting the whole count of the recuperated at 91,612.
