Kuwait airport comes back to life with departure of 4,475 expats

Kuwait International Airport came back to life with departure of 4475 passengers on 22 flights, majority of whom were of Egyptian nationality.

Informed sources stated that this number of departing passengers on 22 flights to a number of Arab and Asian capitals is considered the largest in a single day since the beginning of the crisis and the closure of the airspace due to the Corona virus, around 3,164 were Egyptians passengers who were on commercial, tourist and family visas and who wanted to return to their country after the airport was shut for a long period due to the Corona pandemic, they were transported 15 flights to a number of Egyptian cities.

The sources said that the airport witnessed the departure of two flights to India at a rate of 342 passengers, and two flights to Tehran with 435 passengers, and a flight to Madagascar with 334 passengers, and another to Bangladesh with 3434 passengers, and a trip to Doha that carried 200 passengers.

The General Administration of Civil Aviation has warned all airlines, ground service providers and passengers of the need to adhere to the health aspects through the social distancing of passengers, the wearing of masks and gloves, taking temperatures for all travelers, applying all safety conditions and setting barriers.
